My Role & Contributions
- Team Manager: Led a team of 8 across programming, art, animation, music, and design under game jam conditions
- Game Designer: Designed the core narrative loop — linking flight mechanics to story progression so each delivery felt emotionally weighted
- Defined the pacing of message deliveries to build tension and resolution as the player works toward peace
- Coordinated across disciplines (programming, 3D modeling, animation, music) to maintain a unified vision under tight constraints
Design Challenges
The central design challenge was making the act of flying and delivering feel emotionally resonant — not just mechanically functional. A pigeon is a fragile, humble creature, and the game needed to make the player feel the weight of what they carry. Balancing free-form flight exploration with a clear narrative direction, all under a jam deadline with a large team, required careful scope management and constant communication.
